“You might like the gypsy life /
You judge your progress by the phases of the moon /
Get your compass and your sharpest knife /
People love you when they know you’re leaving soon”

“It look like February Nineteenth, and November Eighth

And they’re going to call it ‘Today’.”

I heard “Bears” on the radio this afternoon. That made me think of “If I Had A Boat.” I’m throwing in Robert Earl Keen’s version of the song he and Lyle Lovett wrote together, “The Front Porch song,” the live version with the amusing dialog. Why not end up with a more-than-slightly-tipsy waltz in “I Love Everybody.”

“Unite and unite, oh, let us all unite, for summer is a coming today
And whither we are going, we all will unite in the merry morning of May!”

Lacivious Beltane, all!
