Someone is drilling a hole in the side of my house. The gas company is doing work on our street which will include laying new line in the street, and placing new meters outside the house. In preparation for those, someone from the gas company is working in the basement as I work in preparation of my afternoon classes, rattling down in there something fierce. He did say it would take an hour. But how long does it take to drill a hole and slide a fitting through? I can’t wait to see this. Then again, as Willy Wonka said, “The suspense is terrible. I hope it will last.”
